Overview
This low-hour 2015 Magellano 43 stands out not just for its condition, but for the thoughtful engineering and liveability that define the model. Designed by Bill Dixon in the UK, its semi-displacement hull is a genuine departure from the typical warped-V planing forms. A plumb bow and fine waterline entry deliver a soft, confident ride, while the deep U-shaped chest and flatter aft sections keep the boat level and efficient as the speed rises. Deep spray rails, starting high at the bow and entering the water a few metres aft, broaden the beam for added displacement support, keep the decks dry underway, and enhance stability at rest. Twin props and rudders sit right aft in shallow tunnels, complemented by a modest keel for excellent tracking and predictable handling.
The Magellano's interior is arranged over three distinct levels - flybridge, main cabin and cockpit, with additional fore and aft lower spaces. From the cockpit, you step seamlessly into the main cabin, where the galley sits immediately to port, with a bench and refrigeration opposite. Forward, the portside dinette wraps around a folding table, positioned directly across from the lower helm.
As expected on a yacht of this calibre, the helm provides full engine and navigation data, along with controls for the bow thruster, remote anchoring, auto-helm and more. The presentation is clean, understated and perfectly aligned with the yacht's elegant interior styling.
A few steps down from the helm leads to a small atrium, where four doors open to three sleeping cabins and the guest bathroom. In this configuration, the third cabin features a single berth, though it can be a dedicated storage space if preferred.
Overall, this Magellano 43 offers a rare combination of low hours, proven seakeeping, and beautifully considered design -- an ideal choice for owners who value comfort, efficiency and genuine cruising capability.
