Flagship Visits Nordhavn HQ

In late October 2024, we had the privilege of attending an important meeting hosted at the Pacific Asian Enterprises (PAE) /Nordhavn headquarters in Dana Point, California. It wasn’t your typical sales conference but a pivotal gathering of minds, bringing together our team from Nordhavn Yacht Sales Australasia (NYSA) and key personnel from the Ta Shing factory in Taiwan, which builds many of Nordhavn’s world-class yachts. The objective? To deepen our understanding of what makes Nordhavn an unparalleled name in the industry and ensure we continue delivering exceptional service to clients in Australia, New Zealand, and beyond.

Meeting-goers consisted of our team from    Nordhavn Yacht Sales Australasia in Sydney and key members of the Taiwan-based Ta Shing factory, which builds a number of our boats. At first glance, this could be seen as an insignificant bit of news to anyone considering investing in a Nordhavn yacht, but under the surface, the in-person conference encapsulated a lot of what makes Nordhavn – and its parent group, Pacific Asian Enterprises – a market leader and a trustworthy investment.

As part of this initiative, our team joined PAE staff and Ta Shing representatives for in-depth discussions about design evolution, construction processes, and the technology that shapes these extraordinary vessels. It’s easy to assume that a partnership as longstanding as the one between PAE and Ta Shing—spanning nearly five decades—runs on autopilot. But what we witnessed firsthand is a commitment to innovation and continual improvement, ensuring Nordhavn remains a market leader.

For our team at Flagship International, the opportunity to engage directly with Ta Shing and PAE staff was invaluable. As brokers, it’s crucial that we understand every detail of the yachts we sell so we can provide the insights and advice our clients expect. Whether it’s learning how a Nordhavn concept takes shape or discussing new technologies coming in the 2024 and 2025 models, this kind of training helps us stay at the top of our game.

This visit also served as a lead-up to the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, where the Nordhavn team will unveil new models and discuss exciting developments for the future. We’re proud to be part of a global network that prioritises education, collaboration, and excellence at every level.

At Flagship International, our focus has always been on connecting clients with yachts that suit their dreams and lifestyles. Representing Nordhavn in Australasia allows us to offer world-class vessels backed by decades of expertise and innovation. Trips like this remind us of the passion and dedication that go into every Nordhavn yacht—and we can’t wait to bring that knowledge back to our clients here in Australia and New Zealand.

As always, we’re grateful for the trust our clients place in us and look forward to continuing to deliver the service and expertise that set us apart.

“We are deeply appreciative of the rich history we have with the factories and our own people, for their loyalty, dedication and support of the Nordhavn brand around the world,” Streech said. “They make Nordhavn what it is.”
