From remote anchorages and ocean crossings to the decks of Australia’s finest luxury motor yachts, Jason Ross has spent more than 15 years turning his passion for the ocean into a career.

With an extensive international sailing background, Jason’s career as a professional yacht captain has taken him across the world’s oceans, exploring remote cruising destinations and gaining invaluable experience in offshore passages, vessel operations, engineering and major refit projects.

From adventurous bluewater sailing and extended cruising in remote locations to managing high-end luxury motor yachts, Jason has developed a unique appreciation for the many ways people enjoy life on the water. His experience provides valuable insight into what makes a yacht not only beautiful and comfortable, but capable, reliable and perfectly suited to its owner’s ambitions.

More recently, Jason has been based on the Gold Coast, captaining privately owned luxury motor yachts, including a Sunseeker Manhattan 73 and Princess 78, cruising Australia’s east coast between Sydney and the Whitsundays. These roles have further developed his understanding of luxury yacht ownership, meticulous vessel presentation and the importance of exceptional service.

Jason’s move into yacht brokerage with Flagship International is a natural progression of his passion for the industry. Whether helping a client find their ideal coastal cruiser, purchase a luxury motor yacht or embark on a new adventure aboard a capable long-range cruising vessel, he enjoys sharing his knowledge and helping people make informed, confident decisions.
